When a client came to Master Manufacturing Co., Inc. in need of custom spring element stamping for a cooking appliance application, we knew we could handle the project. Adhering to a just-in-time delivery schedule and with a 6-weeks-to-production lead schedule, we designed the spring element clip, built appropriate tooling, and manufactured the application. We used ProE for our design work, and produced all tooling at our tool and die facility. Each process was tailored to meet our client’s specifications.
The final spring element clip was manufactured from 0.030″ thick C1050 spring steel and produced on an S1F Four-Slide machine. The clips were then processed through our internal, secondary applications of Austemper heat treatment for strength and zinc electroplate hex-free chormate finish for corrosion protection. These components were tested in our quality lab for salt spray, humidity, and Rockwell hardness, which passed our customer’s specifications.
